Lauren Moore is a London-based contemporary artist. Her work explores the theme of distortion. The process of distortion occurs blind to the artist and the outcome uncontrolled. She is trying to understand how living things morph and change over their lifetime. They are a collection of the textures and marks we obtain, showing life’s experiences stimulating a tactile desire to touch. Her work is a response to her insatiable need to mark-make. She satisfies this through creating hand-touched artworks, each hand movement clearly leaving its mark. Playfully exploring colour and texture, layering and revealing to create surface landscapes.
