These meticulously hand stitched cotton bags in different sizes were made by the Banjara women who are a semi nomadic group within India. They are known for their beautiful use of embellishment using mirrors, cowry shells and intricate embroidery. They would be filled with gifts and money for the groom's family at the wedding, but also showcasing the families skills and craftsmanship.
